If you want to make your server inaccessible to an IP address from which too many suspicious attempts authentication, fail2ban is the tool for you.
This is a Python script that automatically executes one of the boring operations that often a systems UNIX / Linux has to do manually: fail2ban search the system logs all IP addresses that have tried unsuccessfully to access the server, without attempts to access exceeds a certain maximum number allowed in a certain period of time, then that IP is cut off using iptables for a (just) some time. A couple of days ago we received a notification email from a server daemon Debian GNU / Linux and tactlessly informed us of an impending disaster.
The server in question runs two disks in RAID1 500GB/15k software and one of the two disks has decided to make a will and taking steps to secure the final, inevitable destination.
The notification left no doubt: the synchronization with the disk / dev / sda was not possible because of repeated failures in the management of the partition / dev/sda1, so it was urgent to replace the disk.

For over a month is the new online version of Montagna.TV , the leading Italian portal dedicated to mountaineering world.
I waited until everything was perfectly tested before announcing who keeps an eye on our achievements here.

Taken from the usual complex duties and attributes in the grip of a heat that leaves no truce, we succeeded in one of the many businesses that refer too long: redesign the logo of our core business.
Purified of shapes, colors and stylistic paraphernalia dictated two years ago by more quickly than by thought, the end result is what follows, get used to!
