Wednesday, December 10, 2008 will be held at the Department of Computer Science, University of Verona "Seminar on VoIP, Security and Sensor Networks". The event will be held at Ca 'Vignal 2, Strada Le Grazie 15. Of course in Verona.

"What talents for security: the lesson of JPGR"
Faced with new threats to the security of information systems, such talents are to be sought

"VoIP (in) security: Italians do it better"
To better explain the risks they can incur by implementing VoIP, will be exposed to a
real case history: as the Italian Hacker Embassy was able to use "for fun and profit" the
voice network of the Chaos Computer Club, during the summer camp of 2007.
We will discuss the
instruments used, the written code and social engineering techniques adopted to achieve
the purpose.
The aim is to highlight the countermeasures to be taken in order not to incur
similar problems on a corporate network.

"Wireless sensors in residential and industrial"
The topic of wireless sensor networks is emerging from research centers to join
the wealth of opportunity that companies have to create new products and services.
Typical applications of sensor networks we can find them in home automation, control of
production processes and in controlling energy consumption.

By car is coming from Milan / Venice (A4) is coming from Bologna (A22) should exit at
Verona South (A4) and follow the signs to Borgo Roma Hospital and Faculty of Science / Medicine.
Arriving by train instead of in front of the train station should take the bus 21 or 22 towards Borgo Roma / house.
