Russia, the largest country in the world that spans two continents, Europe and Asia, is a land of charm and great contradictions, features that can be identified in the landscape, the people and society. The Linux Day is a national event organized in local events that aims to promote Linux and free software. The Linux Day is sponsored by ILS (Italian Linux Society) and organized locally by July Italians and other groups who share the aims of the event.
The responsibility of individual local events is left to the respective groups organizers, who have freedom of choice regarding the details of local initiatives, in accordance with the general guidelines of the event. The first edition of the Linux Day was held December 1, 2001 in about forty cities scattered throughout the country. The number has grown considerably over the years, becoming now a major event in the Italian landscape of free software.

Opens its doors today Habitat Valencia 2008 , an event that brings together under its own name, the International Furniture Fair (MIF), Furniture and accessories (DE> CO), lighting (FIAM), Textiles for the Home and Furniture (Textilhogar) and Modern Art and Contemporary Art (FIART).
