To the touch of a whole directory recursively without encountering the usual errors (file names containing spaces or other strange characters), just issue the command:
find . -print0 | xargs -0 touch

Words like "cabin", "pasture", "shepherd of geese" fascinated me throughout childhood.
They had the sensual aroma of a real world, far from carefree and dusty tin roofs, the open spaces filled with scrap metal and brambles, the bleak slopes of a strangulated Jerusalem from the yoke of a summer glow.
She had only to whisper to myself "grazing" - to hear the lowing of cows with bells around their necks and rushing streams.
With eyes closed, watching the goose barefooted shepherdess, which disturbed me to tears when I did not know anything.
